We'll be mostly walking on sidewalks through quiet neighborhood streets. There are a lot of beautiful old houses in the area. There are also nice trees and several small parks.

I haven't found a safe way to walk to Curtis Arboretum, so we're going to visit the George Perlry Bird Sanctuary instead. This is the route I intend to follow: Google Maps Route

We'll meet at the Jenkintown-Wyncote train station on the side facing the park. I'll be wearing my usual bright orange hat. If you have trouble finding us you can call me at 774-249-2494.

There is (paid) parking at the station and on the surrounding neighborhood streets, or you can be green and take the train.

While you're in the area you might also want to check out Glenside Porch Fest. This is a free outdoor festival with live music, food trucks, etc. https://glensidecivic.org/about-porchfest-2026/ . It runs from 1 pm to 7 pm.
