Evening walk in Jenkintown (3 miles)
Details
We'll walk from the train station to Abington Art Center and back. We'll pass some interesting houses, go through the center of Jenkintown, past Abington Friends School, and follow a trail around the Art Center's campus. Total distance will be about three miles.
The Art Center has statues, beautiful old buildings, and trails that go through woods. We'll be on sidewalks most of the time, but some of the trails around the Art Center are gravel.
It costs $2 to park in the SEPTA lot, or you may be able to find free street parking if you don't mind doing a little extra walking before we get started. There are also very nice bike racks at the train station.
We'll meet at the Jenkintown-Wyncote train station on the side facing the parking lot. I'll be wearing my usual bright orange hat. If you have trouble finding us you can call me at 774-249-2494.
