Hiking in Pennypack Trust (4.5 miles)
Details
I am excited to say that I was able to get permission from the trust to bring a small group to visit. We are limited to 15 people. They asked that I share the following message with you:
"Pennypack Ecological Restoration Trust is a private nature preserve funded by donations and memberships. To help us protect, preserve, and restore the land, we do not allow dogs, bikes on the trails, foraging, or collecting of any kind. We also ask that visitors stay on marked trails."
We'll walk a loop that is a little less than five miles. Trail surfaces vary widely and include dirt, gravel, grass, and pavement. We will cross a small creek using stepping stones. There are some long and/or steep hills. Hiking shoes or boots are recommended. Trekking poles may also be helpful.
We will meet in the parking lot near the headquarters building. The address is
2955 Edge Hill Rd, Huntingdon Valley, PA 19006
I will be wearing my usual bright orange hat. If you have trouble finding us, call me at 774-249-2494.
