NEWARK CENTRAL WARD

About 6-7 miles on city streets. The heyday of New Jersey's largest city was a century ago, but its past remains visible in the buildings of the city center, and its present in its cultural and educational institutions. After lunch, we'll turn south, walk historic High Street, and end with free entertainment at a music festival.

Take PATH or New Jersey Transit rail and meet in the waiting room of Newark Penn Station before or a little past noon.
