Rockaway Beach Walk and Swim

Slow pace on flat terrain. Finish between 3:00 and 4:00 PM, approximately 4-5 miles. Drop-off points with access to the subway along the walking route. Walk along the boardwalk from Beach 116th Street to Beach 30th Street. We will have a leisurely lunch and spend time enjoying the beach. After spending time at the beach, walk back to the subway station at Beach 44th Street, where the walk will end. Bring lunch, water, and a bathing suit.

MEET: 11:00 AM outside the subway station at Beach 116th Street. Take JFK A-Train to Broad Channel, change for S-train at Broad Channel or Rockaway Boulevard, and exit S-train at Beach 116 St. Bathrooms available inside 116 ST train station. Joint with Shorewalkers. Non-members of Shorewalkers' and Outdoors Club $5. Must call or email to confirm that the walk is on.
