April 5, SUN, CROTON TO TARRYTOWN VIA ROCKWOOD HALL PRESERVE. About 11 miles. One short steep climb. From Croton station use cycle track to join Old Croton Aqueduct at Audubon Lane and continue on OCA to and through Ossining (Port O Sans at Main Street) to junction with Rockwood Hall Area trails. (No bathrooms.) Enter and hike Lower and Middle trails to the Kendal Community. Exit via Phelps Hospital campus, cross Rte. 9 and rejoin OCA, which use to Tarrytown. Meet Grand Central Terminal at 9:00 am for 9:25 Hudson Line train, RT Croton Harmon. (Check train times!) Fare about $30.00, seniors half.
