Hempstead Lake State Park Hike

Join us for a hike around Hempstead Lake Park. We will do a circular around Hempstead Lake and the northern ponds. Then we will follow the southern pond into the Rockville Center where the walk will end. It will cover approximately 10 miles at a moderate pace.

Meet in Grand Central station at the information booth at 10:30am to take the 10:56am LIRR train to Lakeview.

Expect mostly flat sand and gravel trails. Hiking shoes are recommended. Bring lunch, water and bug spray.

Return back to Grand Central or Penn station from the Rockvilleille Center LIRR station. Trains depart approximately every 30 minutes.

Non-member fee is $5.

Heavy rain cancels.
