Hello Nature Enthusiasts.

Join me for some easy paced walking today at Shakespear Regional Park at the tip of the Whangaparoa Peninsula...for some nature connection as we relaunch this group with a new name and focus ..On Short Walks around Auckland and Beyond now that summer season is finally here.

Today's walk over mostly open farmland and small areas of bush...is filled with variety within a bird sanctuary that has a gated entrance we walk in through..

Beginning first with the walk through picturesque mature trees, featuring huge old Puriri Trees...there's also a small Waterfall here inside Shakespear Regional Park where we walk today.

Emerging out on to open ridges of farmland we're surrounded by sea North, East and South...with an observation tower for us to see better out over the Hauraki Gulf.

We then follow a coastal route towards the white sand beach ...our lunch spot
....there's optional swimming here today for those interested..Others like me will sit under the canopy of Shaded trees..watching..

Returning back to the cars we will see more sheep and birds here..There's a total ban on bringing dogs here so its a very safe relaxed walking together area to be Outdoors with Stephen.
