What we’re about
We are a group of adventurers from the LGBTQ community looking to get out on trails, on rivers, or anywhere outside, actively enjoying nature and the great outdoors. Adventures include hiking, biking, kayaking, ziplining, camping, and any/all other outdoors recreational activities members want to do. Looking to make new friends in the LGBTQ community while having a great adventure? Then this group is for you.
We also welcome our straight brothers, sisters, friends, and allies!
Outdoorsy Adventure Team is officially a nonprofit organization! While our love for exploring the great outdoors remains at the heart of our group, we’re expanding our mission to include community outreach.
As a nonprofit, we’ll be raising funds for local charities, organizing food drives, participating in community awareness events, and supporting our group’s operations. To help make this possible, we will begin charging a $10 annual membership donation. This small contribution will go a long way in helping us:
• Cover costs like maintaining our Meet-Up presence.
• Fund our participation in community events.
• Host an annual social (spring or holiday) to bring our community together.
• Donate all remaining funds at the end of the year to our favorite local charities.
We’re incredibly excited about this next chapter and hope you’ll support our efforts as we move forward with this nonprofit initiative. Together, we can make a meaningful impact in our community while enjoying nature and building connections.
Remember, just $10 can help us make a big difference in people’s lives. Let’s hike, paddle, bike, and climb our way to stronger community bonds and support for those in need.
Thank you for being a part of our journey! Let’s explore, give back, and grow together.

- INdoorsy Saturday Night Play - Waitress - Players by the Sea - Shown at The RitzRitz Theatre and Museum, Jacksonville, FL
Waitress serves up a deliciously heartfelt story of resilience, friendship, and a dash of romance, all baked into one unforgettable slice of musical theatre! Set in a small-town diner, we follow Jenna, a waitress and expert pie maker, as she navigates the challenges of an unfulfilling marriage and dreams of a fresh start.
With the help of her quirky co-workers and a surprising new love, Jenna dares to imagine a sweeter life. Featuring Sara Bareilles' Grammy-nominated score, Waitress is a mouth-watering mix of humor, heartache, and hope that will leave you craving more!
Let's show our support for local arts! We're organizing a group outing to watch Waitress at the Ritz Theatre, and we'd love for you to join us!
In light of the recent cuts to arts/theatre funding, it's more important than ever to rally behind our community's creative endeavors!
Players by the Sea recently had an unfortunate fire at their main location located at Jacksonville Beach, however the show must go on! The Ritz Theatre has graciously allowed their space for this show.
Let's aim for ROW H

Pro Tip - rather than booking your flight through an aggregator like Expedia, Travelocity, etc. - always visit the airline's website and compare pricing and options when you buy direct from airline vs. buying through Expedia or Travelocity. It's usually cheaper and you often get more flexibility for cancelations and rebooking when you go through the airline.Event Highlights:
