The Southern Shores Historic Flat Top Cottage owners announce their tour of many of the vintage Southern Shores historic flat top cottages will be held Saturday, April 25th, 2026 beginning at 1:00 PM. Tickets will be available online.
Proceeds from the tour will again benefit the Flat Top Preservation Fund of the Outer Banks Community Foundation, which provides funds for the preservation and maintenance of the historic flat top at 13 Skyline Road designed by Frank Stick and now owned by the Town of Southern Shores.
The tour celebrates the legacy of Frank Stick, beloved Outer Banks artist and developer, who obtained an option on the land that is now Southern Shores, and supervised the platting of lots, the installation of roads, and the design and erection of these mid-century flat top cottages.
Homes on the tour will include 18 E.Dogwood Trail, 218 Ocean Blvd, 170 Ocean Blvd, 169 Ocean Blvd, 157 Ocean Blvd, 113 Ocean Blvd, 69 Ocean Blvd, 78 Skyline Road, 156 Wax Myrtle Trail, and 159 Wax Myrtle Trail.
