Join us for a special evening of stories and speeches as our seasoned speakers showcase their talents - It's our annual Toastmasters International Speaking Contest and Evaluation Contest.

Each contestant in the International Speech Contest is tasked with presenting an original 5 to 7 minute speech on any topic.

For the Evaluation Contest, a "test" speech is presented to the audience and the contestants. The contestants depart to compose their evaluations, and then deliver them in a three-minute mini-speech that highlights the strengths and weaknesses of the "test" speech. You'll be treated to rare insights that help you understand the elements of how speeches work.

Please note that because we're hosting speech competitions at this meetup, the format will be vastly different. We'll return to our usual format at our Feb. 2 Meetup.

We’re Outermost Toast, a chapter of Toastmasters International - an eclectic group that gathers twice a month to learn and practice together. Although we follow the time-tested Toastmasters curriculum, we are incredibly laid-back - we concentrate on sharpening speaking skills but we're just as focused on everyone having fun.

Fun, laughter, and support – those are three components that color everything we do. You will never encounter a more supportive environment; the perfect place to tackle your fear of public speaking.

> As usual, this meeting will conclude with snacks and a chance to socialize. After all, we love food almost as much as conversation.
All that’s missing is you!

Join us on the first and third Monday of every month.
