LEAGUE INFORMATION:

Location: Fairfax High School Tennis Courts
Time: 10am-1pm
Parking: Free Parking at School OR on non-permitted side streets
Match Length: 60-90 Minutes

PRICE BREAKDOWN:
Early Bird: $95 Per Player
Regular: $105 Per Player
Late Registration: $115 Per Player

WHAT IS PAIRED DOUBLES?
This is a paired doubles league. You must register as a team with a partner.
FREE AGENTS / SOLO PLAYERS are not permitted.
If you are an individual player interested in joining this league, you must secure a partner before registering.
No refunds will be offered if you register without a partner and are unable to find one before registration closes.
Players in this situation will be removed from the league.
Do not join a team that shows an open roster spot unless it is the partner you have personally arranged to play with.
Any attempt to join a team without a confirmed agreement will result in denied approval and removal from the league.
Partners should be at a similar skill level. If there is a discrepancy between the two players,
you must register in the division that the stronger player qualifies for.
NEED A PARTNER?
If you do not yet have a partner but want to play, join the OutLoud Sports LA Pickleball Facebook Group to connect with other players who are also seeking teammates. Once you have confirmed a partner, you may then register together.
ATTENDANCE & MATCH PLAY
Each team will play two matches per week.
Matches will take place within a 90-minute time block.

The four different divisions will alternate start times every week between 10am and 11:30am (you’ll be assigned a schedule before the start of the season).
The season will conclude with a single-elimination playoff tournament during the final week.
Regular season standings will determine bracket seeding.

Teams are expected to attend weekly matches.
If one player cannot attend a match, teams are allowed to bring a sub of the same level or lower of their division. Subs will need to pay a $10 fee. If both players cannot attend their matches, it is your responsibility to notify the league manager and it will result in a forfeit.

*If a team misses more than 2 scheduled matches, they will be removed from the league without refund.*

GPN
You will need to set up a (free) Global Pickleball Network account in order to play in this league and instructions will be given before the season begins. League scheduling, matches and standings will be run through GPN.

WHAT IS A PICKLEBALL SKILL RATING?
It's okay if you don't know your skill. There are multiple rating systems currently in use. For the sake of this league, you can reference:
USA Pickleball Skill Rating Guide

For placing yourself in the correct division, please refer to the following breakdown: (these guidelines are based on the USA Pickleball definitions and your DUPR or other rating may be slightly lower than your self ranking based on USA Pickleball’s criteria)
Beginners is 2.5 or below
Low Intermediate is between 2.5-3.0
High Intermediate is around 3.0-3.5
Advanced is above 3.5
Please register for your correct division.

HOW TO REGISTER
Anyone of any skill is welcome to register, but you must have a partner.
Everyone registers as either a CAPTAIN or a TEAM PLAYER.
All Sexualities, Genders and Personalities are welcome.

We will no longer be moving players between divisions after the start of the season, so you MUST register for the proper division. If the division you want to play in is full and you sign up for a different division instead, you will NOT be allowed to switch divisions and if you are not correctly placed in your registered division you will be removed from the league without refund. If your desired division is full, you may sign up for the waiting list but you cannot use another division to hold a place for yourself.

Throughout the season, we will be having socials hosted at the bars in West Hollywood and you’ll receive an EXCLUSIVE discount code for 33 Taps. Spend your Saturday Afternoon with other queer pickleball players off the courts!
OLS REFUND POLICY - NO REFUNDS AFTER REGISTRATION
OutLoud Sports does not offer any refunds after players have registered. Players who are unable to play may find a player to replace them.
