About us

When do the habits that help you succeed start costing you too much?
Being reliable, working hard and caring about what you do can take you far. They can also make it difficult to notice when you’re carrying too much or to stop once you have noticed.

OutoftheBurn brings together ambitious people experiencing burnout, rebuilding after it, or questioning whether their current way of working is sustainable. Professionals, leaders, expats and mothers are welcome, including those juggling several of these roles.
Each monthly online meetup explores a familiar struggle: perfectionism, people-pleasing, needing approval, taking too much responsibility or feeling guilty about resting. Together, participants explore how these patterns develop and how workplace expectations, culture and everyday demands keep them going.

Each one-hour session includes:
- A story and an accessible psychological concept.
- One practical tool, with time to try it.
- Small-group conversations in breakout rooms.
- A closing reflection to bring the discussion into everyday life.

Sessions draw on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) principles and coaching exercises.

No preparation is needed. Sharing is optional, and you’re welcome to reflect privately instead of joining a breakout conversation. Sessions are not recorded.
These are educational coaching sessions, not therapy.

For those interested, there will also be a brief introduction to optional individual coaching.
Come with a question, a familiar frustration, or simply some curiosity about how ambition could feel more sustainable.
