What we’re about
🌿 Outside & Otherwise 🌿
A Club for People Who’d Rather Be Outdoors
Outside & Otherwise is a simple idea: let’s hang out outside instead of inside. No agenda, no pressure, just people gathering under the sky to read, craft, chat, or simply sit and enjoy being in nature. Bring a blanket, a chair, a book, your knitting or crochet, a sketchpad, or just yourself.
Inspired by the research in The Nature Fix by Florence Williams, our club is about slowing down, reconnecting with the outdoors, and remembering that fresh air and trees are good for everyone.
Who’s Welcome?
- Everybody! All ages, backgrounds, and interests. Nature doesn’t check IDs—so whether you’re a kid who likes to cloud-watch, a parent who wants to draw, or an adult who just needs a break from screens, you’re welcome here.
What We Do
- Sit together outside (parks, fields, shady spots, etc.)
- Read, craft, write, doodle, or just relax
- Share conversation, or enjoy quiet—both are welcome
- Watch the clouds, listen to birds, feel the breeze
Why Join?
- Because nature is free, it feels good, and it’s even better when shared.
What to Bring
- Something comfy to sit on (blanket, chair, hammock)
- Whatever makes you happy outdoors (book, project, snacks, tea, etc.)
- Water, sunscreen, & bug spray
- Sunglasses or a hat
Come as you are, stay as long as you like, and let’s make outside our favorite place to be - together.
