Get ready to explore one of the most stunning and unique trails in the Hudson Valley: the Sam’s Point, Ice Caves, and Indian Rock Loop. This 6-mile hike has it all — serene forest paths, surreal slot-like ice caves, and expansive views from Indian Rock that make for the perfect photo op.
The terrain offers a great mix of peaceful strolls, rocky ascents, and narrow passageways through ancient rock formations. Whether you're hiking with friends or coming solo, this is a must-do fall adventure for anyone seeking a memorable day outdoors.
After the hike, we’ll stop at Aroma Thyme Bistro in Ellenville for delicious farm-to-table food and drinks before heading back to NYC. It’s the perfect way to wrap up a day filled with nature, movement, and fresh mountain air.

EVENT TIMELINE:
📍 8:30 AM – Meet at The Standard Biergarten (Meatpacking)
🚌 9:00 AM – Depart NYC
🥾 11:00 AM – Arrive at trailhead + begin hike
🥪 2:00 PM – Mid-hike snack break
🏞 3:00 PM – Finish hike and head to Aroma Thyme Bistro
🚌 6:00 PM – Depart back to NYC
🗽 ~8:00 PM – Arrive in NYC
