Join us as we take on the iconic Gertrude’s Nose loop in Minnewaska State Park Preserve: a dramatic cliffside hike along the Shawangunk Ridge known for sweeping valley views, exposed rock sections, and unforgettable overlooks.
This is a moderate-to-challenging loop with steady elevation gain, rocky terrain, and extended ridgeline walking. It’s the kind of hike that makes you feel strong. The kind where every overlook earns a pause. Expect panoramic views of forests, lakes, and open sky especially stunning in fall.
After we conquer Gertrude’s Nose, we’ll trade trail dust for a well-earned farm-to-table meal at a local spot nearby. Think seasonal ingredients, comforting plates, and that unbeatable post-hike appetite. There’s nothing better than sitting down together after earning it.
Come ready to move. Leave full in every sense.
