Saint Edward State Park Conditioning Hike - Moderate Pace And PICNIC or Pivot

Last week's picnic was a booming success. Let's rinse and repeat....unless it rains. If it rains we can PIVOT TO INSIDE for after hike refreshments.
I will see what the weather forecast for Friday is by Thursday night and decide if we will have a picnic or move inside.

Let's have a picnic at the picnic tables on the lawn after our Friday night hike.

Please pack something for yourself for dinner and maybe something/snack to share (optional).

Otherwise same bat time, same bat trail.

Let's do a short hike at St. Edward State Park.

Please allow time for traffic in your commute to the trailhead

Meet at 5:30 start hiking at 5:40

Moderate Pace 2mph+- We will start together, then you can can choose your own adventure back up to the lodge (there are multiple routes). If you are unfamiliar with the park, you may want to bring a map.

*Discover Pass Required, if you do not have one there is a pay station in the lot. I may be doing this event somewhat regularly so you may want to buy an annual pass.

Meet at the trailhead on the NORTH side of the lot. When you enter the park and the lodge is in front of you turn right and continue to the trailhead.

This is a hiking only event, but if members would like to gather for food afterwards there is the Lodge at the State Park.

Let's talk about the waitlist - if you are on the waitlist, you will be added to the "Going" list based on your RSVP time even if you have Priority status. If you have Priority status and there are others who signed up before you on the waitlist, and you are automatically moved to "Going" when someone drops from the event, I will manually move you back to the waitlist and then manually add the next person in line. Even though there is not a way for me to add Priority members back to their original spot on the waitlist, I will manually track your place in line and make sure you are added to the "Going" list in the order you originally RSVP'd.

*If you have a habit of signing up and dropping out at the last minute, I might bump you to the waitlist to give others the opportunity to attend.
