Singles Group Camping (optional hike) – Stillaguamish River – Mountain Loop Hwy

Tulalip Mill Group camp is a sweet spot based along the south fork of the Stillaguamish River on the Mountain Loop Highway about 15 minutes past the Verlot Visitor Center.
Invited: All singles. This event will be cross-posted in other singles groups if space allows.
The Site: While this site is a group camp we will limit to 25 people max.
There are 8 tent pads with picnic tables and more room for dispersed tents. Max 2 camper van size/Class B only, no larger RV’s. I highly suggest tent sharing (add comments in event if looking to share). There is vault toilet with no showers. Likely no cell service.

Directions: From Seattle, Washington, go north on I-5 to Everett. Take Exit 194 onto Hwy 2. At Hwy 204, go north to Lake Stevens. Turn north on Hwy 9 N. Turn east (right)on Hwy 92 to Granite Falls on Hwy 7 Scenic Byway/Mountain loop highway for 18 miles. Or Google Maps: Tulalip Mill Group Camp
Cost: $30/pp (regardless if staying for 1 or 2 nights). fyi total:$526 for the weekend. Payment info below.

Parking: There are 8 spots within the camp (one for your host). There are about 20 more spots just outside of camp along the road which are considered part of the site.
Dogs: Only cool ones that don’t mind leashes
The Plan:
*Friday
-Arrive no sooner than 3:00 P.M. The gate will be locked until then.
-Set up camp and relax (look by the river if you can’t find us)
-Dinner: around 7:00
-Sunset: approx 8 pm
-Campfire and games.
*Saturday: The day is yours. Hike, lounge by the river, sleep, read, games
*Sunday: The day is yours again!
Pack up and depart by 12:00 noon.
I ask that everyone help clean up the camp area before departing.
*We will discuss hiking options for those interested & break into groups of 8-12 max.
A couple possible Hikes(many more options avail): Mt Pilchuck Lookout(30 min away), Lake 22 (10 min away), Independence & North Lakes(30 min away), Heather Lake Trail or Cutthroat Lakes (16 min away). Last 2 are closed for maintenance at time of posting - will need to verify if open.
Need to bring:
· Water: There is NO drinking water on site unless you want to filter from the river.
· Fires: I will bring 1 propane fire pit & 1 gas tank. If someone has room for a 2nd tank bring it full with a receipt for gas & I’ll reimburse you. Advise in advance.
· Games: I will bring a few
· Discover Pass & America the Beautiful Pass
· All camping gear & chairs
· Ice
· Food and Beverages (including for group meals noted below)
· If weather is an issue I need a couple of you to bring tarps/canopies etc.
Food:
Bring your own meals EXCEPT for Fri and Sat night group meals. If dietary restrictions and these meals don’t work bring your own. I will update this suggested list as items are spoken for.

1. RSVP as "GOING” and you’ll be on a waitlist.
2. Make Payments: $30.00 per person. This is a first come first pay event.

3. Once you pay, you will be taken off the waitlist & marked as going.
4. When you pay please add a comment or text me with:
a) number of people per tent & how many tents (i.e. 1 tent for 3 people & names)
b) If you will be there for dinner Friday or not
c) what shared food items from the list you are bringing

Cancellation: If you need to cancel please let me know. I will fill the space with anyone on the wait list but will not be issuing refunds. Any excess money over the campsite expenses will be donated to WTA. I am not out to make a profit.
If camp closes due to wildfires and I am refunded I’ll donate the funds to WTA unless you message me asking for a refund within 48 hours of cancellation.
