Meadowdale Beach Trail

Details
This a really lovely walk down (and up) a deep forest ravine along Lund Creek. At the bottom there is a relatively new estuary and access to Puget Sound. This trip includes some relatively steep sections including an 85-step staircase. Once at the bottom, we will pass by the estuary and go out to the beach to search for shorebirds and eagles. We will probably go out to eat afterwards and I can tell you a place where there is a dance at 7 pm.
This location has a fairly small parking lot and sometimes you need to use the on-street parking outside of the park. Carpooling is recommended.
Hiking poles are also recommended for those that use them, and boots may be needed if there is any recent rain. It can be muddy. We will be going about 2 miles per hour and spend a little time at the beach. This is a wide trail but expect to share it with other walkers and dogs.
We will meet in the Meadowdale Beach Park parking lot at the kiosk at 2:00 pm. I expect we will be back to the parking lot at about 3:30. There is a portable toilet in the parking lot. (Note this location is NOT Meadowdale Park). I copied this description from a Mountaineer event. I think I edited unnecessary things out.
