PLEASE NOTE: The address given here will probably take you to the Visitor Center. Don't go there; follow directions to the North Parking Lot.

Strange event title, right? I am scheduling this with less advanced notice that I generally do, but I have a free Sunday, and I checked the weather forecast. What struck me were the words, "crystal clear sky," so I found that compelling. So join me on Sunday if you can. I did this weekday event in March and set the meet time two hours later than this, but in the summertime I am more concerned with the north parking lot filling up later in the morning. So I also set the event for five hours to match the same end time, but don't necessarily plan on more than three hours. Feel free to excuse yourself anytime you like if you need to leave.

I have planned evening summertime events at Discovery Park that are more time-constrained due to dusk. But since we're going in the morning we can be more free-form in terms of duration (and routing). I will obtain a good map (Google Maps or otherwise) beforehand, and you can do the same. If well prepared with directions, we can explore quite extensively without too much fear of getting lost. We don't have to stick to the standard route that I have used in the past. In fact, it might be fun to explore Magnolia Bluff, which is toward the south end of the park from where we will meet.

Afterward, we can plan on a group meal if there is a consensus of three more more people. Let's play timing by ear, but for location Maggie Bluffs near Palisade in Magnolia is always one of our favorites.

Officially, dogs must be on-leash. If you choose to bring a *friendly* canine guest, please also bring his/her human tether. Note that unless you want to leave Fido in your car, his or her attendance may impact your ability to join us for a meal afterwards.
