Warburton- O'Shannessy/ River Walk Circuit

Details
This week, we'll be getting into Trails... the O'Shannessy Aqueduct Trail, the Yarra River Trail behind Warburton, and part of the Rail Trail from Warburton to Millgrove...
From towering eucalypts to shady English gardens, this 17km circuit captures the leafy and lush vegetation of the Yarra Valley. Apart from an initial incline up Dee Rd from Milgrove to the Aqueduct, this is a relatively flat walk and follows well-formed paths throughout. Situated on a southerly aspect, it's quite shady- an ideal hike for all year round.
Still, ensure to bring sun protection, drinking water for 4-5hr hike and something to eat for lunch alongside the river at scenic Warburton.
The last five kilometres follow the 'Warby' rail trail back to our cars at Millgrove.
For those who like to join us, we can call by Cunningham's Hotel (Yarra Junction) for refreshments on our way home.
Conditions at this time of year can be quite variable... so, we'll always hope for the best!
