Chigwell Station to Roding Valley - Green Semi-Circular Walk + (optional) Pub

Details
A green walk from Chigwell Station to Roding Valley, with optional pub (The Monkhams) at the end for lunch and/or drinks as required. Please note the finish time is only a guideline and does include pub time if you're staying.
We'll be going through the mass of greenery hiding behind residential Chigwell, over to Roding Valley Meadows for a walk round the entire nature reserve, and finishing with a circle around Knighton Woods. We're meeting at Chigwell station 11am, and will be leaving promptly. We'll stop for a coffee along the way.
Those going back to their cars at the end of the walk can hop on the Central Line back to Chigwell. If you don't need to get back to the start point, that station (Roding Valley) will also go to Hainault or Woodford. A W14 bus does a very quick hop to Woodford or Buckhurst Hill, or its a 15 min walk to Buckhurst Hill Station and the 167 bus.
The meet point:
if you are driving, there are places to park all around Chigwell Station.
If you are coming by bus, the 167 goes from Ilford, through Gants Hill and Barkingside, to Chigwell station. Be mindful though, as they are only about every 20 minutes. Check here for your stop: https://tfl.gov.uk/bus/timetable/167/
If you're coming on the Central Line, Chigwell is on the link-line between Woodford & Hainault. Trains are every 20min in either direction, and Chigwell is in the middle of the five stations on that line.
Havering members can go via Stratford on the train, or get a 247 from Romford to the stop opposite the Maypole pub in Fencepiece Rd (the stop is called New North Rd), cross the road to the stop outside the pub and jump on the 167 to Chigwell.
Chadwell Heath-ers could go via Stratford on the train, or get a 362 bus to Grange Hill Station (which is on the same link-line and one down from Chigwell), but again be mindful, because the 362 runs every 35 minutes.
Anyone on the 462 bus route can get to Grange Hill too. Those on the 145 route can change at Ilford to a 167.
I ask for a nominal contribution of £2 to help cover Meetup organiser fees, or you can pay £4 for the whole of Sept. No shrapnel please.
