Green Walk - Elm Park to Romford + The Sound Of Music + Pub

Talking about The Sound Of Music today, I notice it's getting a 60th anniversary 4K screening in Romford next Saturday.

So I thought we could do a walk from Elm Park to Romford, have an optional pub visit when we arrive, and an (also optional) trip over to the cinema for one of the biggest movies of all time. Its showing at 5.45 pm, with tickets starting at £4.99.

There is nothing like watching a movie with spectacular scenery and great music on the big screen with cinema sound.

For those who haven't paid for Sept, I ask for a nominal fee of £2 to help cover Meetup organiser fees. No shrapnel please.

For those coming by train, Elm Park is on the District Lane. Alternatively, go to Romford on the Elizabeth Line, cross the road, and get a 252 or bus for a 12 minute hop to Elm Park Station. The 365 goes there too, but takes 6 minutes longer.

Those bus routes will also do for anyone coming by bus, and for those who want to get back to Elm Park from Romford later.

If you are driving, go to Elm Park, where a lot of yellow lines don't apply on a Saturday. Diban Avenue RM12 4YH is one example, but there's a lot of parking around. You can get a bus back later (as above)

OR you could park in our usual spot at Collier Row, get a 252 to Elm Park from opposite the Wetherspoon, and use the same bus to get back to your car from Romford.
