Green Linear Walk - Loughton to Theydon via the Deer Sanctuary + (optional) Pub

A seven mile linear green walk from Loughton to Theydon Bois, via the Deer Sanctuary. We'll stop halfway for a cuppa, and finish in the (optional) Bull Pub in Theydon somewhere round mid-afternoon. The Central Line station is round the corner for those needing to get back to Loughton, or to anywhere else.

The hop-off point for those who prefer a shorter walk will be about 4 miles in, not too long after the coffee stop, and at the Goldings Hill end of Loughton.

We're meeting at 11.00am outside Loughton Station and will be leaving fairly promptly.

If you're driving, park in Brook Rd and walk over to the station. Most of the yellow lines in that road don't apply on a Saturday.

The station can also be reached with the 167 bus from Ilford, Gants Hill, Barkingside, Chigwell; the 20 bus from Walthamstow, Snaresbrook, Woodford; and the 397 bus from Chingford.

Havering and Chadwell Heath members are best getting the Elizabeth Line to Stratford and the Central Line to Loughton.

If you are coming from Romford area, you could also get a 247 bus to stop W (called New North Rd), and directly opposite at the stop going the other way, you can get a 167 to Loughton station.
