Green Walk - Hackney Wick to Tower Hill + (optional) Pub
Details
Thank you to Gary for showing me this route, I thought I would repeat it on our group.
We're meeting outside Hackney Wick station at 11am. This is one stop from Stratford on the Mildmay Line. I thought we'd meet there instead of Stratford, as Hackney Wick is a quaint little place.
The route follows the Thames Path, going through Victoria Park, the waterways of the Regent’s Canal, the Limehouse Basin, and the lovely Wapping, before finishing near the historic Tower of London.
We'll stop for a coffee along the way, and finish in the (optional) Wetherspoon pub for some well deserved food and/or drink. I am aiming to arrive at the pub for about 3.30pm.
I ask for a nominal contribution of £2 to help cover Meetup organiser fees, or you are able to pay £4 to cover the whole of January if you prefer. No shrapnel please.
A few members opt to pay £20, which will cover you for a half-year.
