I am new in town and noticed there isn't a lot of activities for over 40s. This new local group welcomes you to connect with others. We’d love to hear your ideas for future events as we work together to create a lively and engaging social calendar.

Enjoy an afternoon of live music at Wine Monkey in Chippenham, featuring Paul Caston on guitar. Blending country and blues, the performance begins at 17:00. The Bandstand in John Coles hosts a selection of Sunday afternoon concerts that are free to attend. Come and join us on Sunday 14th June. This is a good opportunity to bring food and drinks and enjoy some music. Meet up point will be by the bandstand but I will confirm exact location on the day. Weather permitting activity.
Rum and Reggae party. This is a free event. There's going to be live bands outside the pub. Reggae style food options and different drinks will be available on the day. Tables will be available on first come first serve basis. Event finishes at 09:00pm. I will probably not stay until that late but we will see how it looks like on the day.
Public transport: Bus 231 Chippenham, Corsham, Box, Bath stops just outside the pub, at Westcroft Stop.
Join us for the Pewsham Locks Open Day 2026! We’ll meet at Double Bridge at 11:00 am, where there will be a talk on the Meadow Creation.
Activities:
Feel free to bring your own food and drinks if you prefer. It is a good opportunity to get involved in the local community activities and to spend time outdoors
Meeting point: Double bridge. The Double bridge is located at the bottom of the renovated Pewsham Locks, which are south of Chippenham.
Parking: There's free street parking nearby Tesco Express (Lodge Road Pewsham), within aprox. 10/15 minutes walk to Avon Valley Walk.
