What we’re about
Let's make the most of Brighton's eclectic mix of restaurants and venues by bringing together women whom wish to extend their social circle: Women whom enjoy the pleasure of meeting new people over coffee, drinks, dinner, arts or the theatre.
Our members are from all walks of life, married or single, housewives or professional, whom enjoy social interaction. Established in 2019 and with a membership of 366 members, we have had 67 group events so far (circa November 2023).
While coronavirus is with us I am requesting that any of our members who are not double vaccinated do not attend an event until we are able to meet again outdoors. This is to try to keep all of us as safe as we possibly can.
Get on the waitlist and we shall try to get more seating, if possible. Please update your RSVP, should you not be able to make it. 'No shows' prevents someone else from enjoying the event. Please make an extra effort not to cancel at the last minute.

- Bridge Between Friends (tm)The Ledward Centre, Brighton
Bridge Card Game, Thursday, 29th February, 2pm at The Ledward Centre
I cannot emphasize what a fun time we are having playing Bridge. Bridge, when taught in the wrong way, is too over-bearing, combersome and daunting. Here, we teach what I call 'Quick-Bridge'; that is, you can be up and running in a short time, playing successfully, using all the major concepts of Bridge in an easy going, fun way. We are having such a good time.
You don't have to know how to play bridge as we teach! I teach a quick-form type of bridge that touches all the basics of bridge without the complications. The beauty of Bridge players is they don't mind teaching what they know -- we are a friendly lot!
Bridge is a game you never stop learning. You can't conquer bridge in a day, but, after getting to grips with it, you'll never be bored. Learn to play bridge and you will realise why your grandparents were addicted to playing, and, soon, you will be too.
Located to the side of Jubilee Library, across from Las Iguanas Restaurant.
I want to give a special shout-out to The Ledward Centre for letting us use their venue. If you haven't been to The Ledward Centre, it is right in the prime location of being next to the Jubilee Library. It is very hard to find venues that will let you play cards for a couple of hours, and i want to thank The Ledward Centre for supporting us. The Ledward Centre is a calm, tranquil cafe that feels very comfortable to sit in. Mind you, it is LGBT. So, if you don't feel comfortable with that then this is okay, but the staff and management are a lovely group of people, and welcoming.
Our Bridge games are open to men and women alike of all ages.
