GENTLE Rosemary led ramble, the Hobsonville portion along what are often quite busy walkways..

Start Point: cnr Pounamu and Tauhinu Road, Greenheith .

We cross Tauhinu road and a more or less on the path heading over the Upper Harbour Bridge

Glorious downhill run with great views over the harbour and surrounds. The Cycleway leads us onto Squadron Drive.

Once there, we take a tour round the harbour-side paths, past the Ferry wharf and around Bomb Point. Still an amazing amount of construction being undertaken, so there is the odd detour.

Ask Wayne to point out plane bunkers from WW 2 😂

We then do a bit of “tiki touring” through urban streets ( cycle lanes ) to the lights so we ross safely to the yellow bridge over the motorway.

After a yummy snack and catchup we simply reverse course. Option to redo the ” walkways” or take cycleways back to our cars .

There are hills but nothing significant except for the Upper Harbour Bridge .

Fairly flat ride with a lot of variety by way of Cycle Paths, footpaths, both urban and country roads, There are some traffic areas however we will pretty much be on cycle paths or cycleways.

Remember to do a Pre Bike check before you leave home !! Air, brakes and chain !! Bring a spare tube …
