Bucklands Beach, Eastern Beach, Mellons Bay, Howick Beach, Cockle Bay

Meet at the bike hub Lloyd Elsmore Park. From there we ride to the Rotary path and head towards Half Moon Bay. I'm not going to detail every road as there's quite a few and I missed some of the roads I wanted to take on my last reconnaissance ride! Suffice to say after visiting Bucklands Beach and the Musick Point Memorial we stay as close to the coast as possible, visiting the places in the title. Finally we join the cacade walkway on Meadowland Drive and return to Lloyd Elmsmore.

This ride is not going to suit everyone. There are a lot of hills. Steep hills. A lot of road riding, although the roads are relatively quiet. There is a brief gravel ride/walk? up from Eastern Beach. Make sure your brakes are in good working condition as you will pick up some speed going down the hills. Being coastal and hilly means there are plenty of good views. Coffee will be at the Tearooms at Shamrock Cottage up from Howick Beach.

We travel at average 15km/h.
We have a tail end Charlie to make sure riders do not get lost. We are not too fond of leaving people behind.
Assistance will be rendered for any mechanical issues but we are not bike mechanics.
