Woodhill

Details
Arrive early to allow time to go to the toilet, get your bike ready, purchase your ticket ($15) and sign in, so we can be riding at 10.00am We will meet at the table outside the shop where you buy your ticket.
We will start of by riding the green trails (grade 2). There's roughly 12km of them (I skipped some so very appox. estimate) and then return to the carpark for coffee. The shop sells coffee and there is usually a van selling pies or something. Then those who would like to do some light blue trails (grade 3) can head out into the park again.
I feel that even the green trails at Woodhill are a step up from Totara Park. Its a bit more bumpy with the odd tree root and small drops. I was all ready to say mountain bikes only, then I saw someone had a trail bike in the carpark. So lets say this. Best suited to mountain bikes but could be ridden on a trail bike. No skinny tyres.
Woodhill is largely immune from the effects of weather due to its sand base. I rode it on a day after heavy rain and it was not slippery.
Please bring a spare tube for your particular bike wheel size.
We have a tail end Charlie to make sure riders do not get lost. We don't leave people behind.
Assistance will be rendered for any mechanical issues but we are not bike mechanics.
