New Lynn, Green Bay, Blockhouse Bay, plus mystery 3km!

Park at Unitec. Coming from Carrington Road (Entry 4), its the 2nd carpark down.

From there we head to New Lynn. Down Portage road, turn at Cannaught St before the beach.

I you want to we can look at Blockhouse Bay beach (see photo) but it is down a steep road. Maybe those that don't want to go can carry on to the cafe a short distance away.

We will stop at the Icoco cafe on Blockhouse Bay road for morning tea (sorry too early for lunch this time!) . After coffee we continue on the footpath to Margate Rd where we turn to head back to the South Western cycle way.
Across to War Memorial park and Underwood Park we rejoin the main cycle track and head back to Unitec.

Suitable for all types of bikes, however, ebikes are recommended due to hills, mostly designated concrete paths and occasional road traverse. Confident riders with low/medium level of experience is recommended. Pace is
slow/moderate.

- Please bring a spare tube for your particular bike wheel size.
- We travel at circa 20ks an hour except for down hills.
- We have a tail end Charlie to make sure riders do not get lost. We are not too fond of
leaving people behind.
- Assistance will be rendered for any mechanical issues but we are not bike mechanics.
- Riders are encouraged to wear Hi Vis or visible colours.
