Pine Harbour to Duder Regional Park
Details
Meet at Pine Harbour Marina car park (in front of Skipper Jacks), 10:30 am.
We will ride to Leigh Auton Reserve, and pick up the cycleway through Omana Regional Park to Maraetai. Then along the coastal road to Duder Regional Park. We will ride cross-country around Duder Park, which will take in the best views of any ride this close to Auckland. Then back to Maraetai for lunch.
After lunch we take Rewa Road through the forest and come out at Okaroro Dr, which will take us back towards Pine Harbour.
There are some steepish hills in both Duder park and the forest. Other than that the ride is easy, around 33 km.
As normal then:
Please bring a spare tube for your particular bike wheel size.
We travel at circa 20ks an hour except for down hills.
We have a tail end Charlie to make sure riders do not get lost. We are not too fond of leaving people behind.
Assistance will be rendered for any mechanical issues but we are not bike mechanics.
Riders are encouraged to wear Hi Vis or visible colours at least
