Upper Shirley Vineyards lunch and Lazare Gallery

Early Fall should be a good time for a short trip to Upper Shirley Vineyards. It's beautiful and situated right on the James River. There is a hidden gem along the way. Lazare Gallery in Charles City was founded by a local couple. The gallery contains a world class collection of modern Russian art. I've heard it mentioned many times, but I've never visited - it's been on my list.

This is a picture from Upper Shirley website. I chose it because I always take a "running through the vines" shot when visiting a vineyard.
