Summer Reading: Broken Country

Apologies for late posting. I pushed the usual date out to give everyone a chance to read the novel.

This month's choice was Broken Country by Clare Leslie Hall.

This is a mystery/romance novel set in the 1960s English countryside.

The novel is centered on Beth Johnson, a farmer's wife, whose quiet life is disrupted when her passionate teenage love returns with his son. As Beth reconnects with her old love and grows closer to his child, old secrets, jealousies and grief resurface, forcing Beth to confront her past and make choices which have explosive consequences.
