February Novel: Never Let Me Go - Kazuo Ishiguro

Nobel Prize Winner and one of the New York Time's 10 Best Books of the 21st Century.

This novel is a haunting tale exploring ethics and human relationships through a story about science outpacing morality, while delving into themes of memory, love and self-understanding.

Kathy, Ruth and Tommy were students at Hailsham, an exclusive boarding school in the idyllic English countryside, kept apart from the rest of the world. As a young woman, Kathy finds that Ruth and Tommy have re-entered her life. She begins to look back at their shared past to look at what made them special and how the rest of their lives will be shaped.

I scheduled this later in the month so there wouldn't be a conflict with Valentine's Day. I scheduled the same location. They don't seem to mind if we linger ! However, I'm very open to other suggestions.

I am still in the thinking stages about a related event - this one is tough!
