Mr. Md Jahangir Alam is the Chair of the Open Web Application Security Project (OWASP) Bangladesh Chapter & the Director of CISA of ISACA Dhaka Chapter Board. He is an information system auditor, information security specialist, and blockchain professional. Mr. Jahangir has extensive experience and knowledge of global ICT, cyber security risks and issues, software development, and blockchain technologies. He has a comprehensive and unique understanding of the issues present on eCommerce and internet-facing web applications, banking and payment applications, payment processors, payment gateways, payment networks, and cloud platforms. He has a significant record of success in software development, information security governance, risk assessment, vulnerability assessment & penetration testing, IT / IS audit, ISO 27001 ISMS gap assessment, and PCI DSS gap assessment. He is an expert in creating manageable, enforceable policies, how the end-user accesses the resources available over the internet, the development of information security policy, and the development of the business continuity policy (BCP).
Mr. Jahangir is an OSCP, CISA, PCI QSA, CDPSE, Certified Blockchain Professional (CBP), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), ISO 27001 LA & LI, ISO 42001 LA & LI, ISO 9001 LA, and Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (LSSBB) Professional. He is also a well-renowned trainer for the last 12+ years. He is a CSE graduate from a Public University in Bangladesh and has completed several online certification courses on software security, cryptography, blockchain technology, anti-money laundering, cyber security, IT risk management, IT governance, and management.
He is the Founder and CEO of QA Pro Limited, APAC Head of CyberProof, Australia, former Head of IT Security & Compliance Department of Shimanto Bank PLC. He also worked as the Head of IT Audit & Monitoring Department, Information Security Officer, and IT Project Management at different private commercial banks of Bangladesh. He worked as a freelance programmer and software development project manager of BizWebShop, Inc., USA, from 2011 to 2018 and led more than 30 programmers.
