OWASP Frankfurt is an open exchange opportunity for anyone interested and enthusiastic about topics related to Information Security and Application Security. All our meetups are free and open. An OWASP membership is not required. The target group is anyone who is passionate about information security, such as: IT consultants, software developers and security testers, IT-managers, IT-architects and students.

OWASP Frankfurt Chapter Meetup #74 - From Passkeys to Prompt Injection

Our OWASP Chapter serves central Germany, particularly within the Rhine-Main (Hesse) region, as a platform to discuss and share information on application security topics.
Anyone interested and enthusiastic about application security or security in general is welcome. All meetings are free and open. You do not have to be an OWASP member to attend our event.
What are we going to talk about?
- Security Diaries of an Open Source IAM by Alexander Schwartz, Principal Software Engineer at IBM: For the Open-Source Identity and Access Management (IAM) Keycloak, 2025 has been a busy year with a lot of new adopters, security features, and handling security audits. Join him for an overview of what was delivered, security anecdotes, and what’s ahead. We’ll dive deeper into Passkeys and the latest developments in OpenID Connect with FAPI and DPoP which can make your applications more secure.
- Security and GenAI: Real Risks, Real Controls by Esra Yildiz, Security Cloud Solution Architect at Microsoft: Based on a real-world scenarios, this session uncovers the security challenges introduced by generative AI and the practical controls to address them. We’ll analyse risks such as prompt injection, data leakage, and model vulnerabilities, and demonstrate how defenders can respond using tools such as Defender for Cloud, Purview, and Azure AI Content Safety. Through live examples and tooling, you’ll gain actionable insights on securing AI workloads, managing compliance, and building resilient systems across multi-cloud environments.
Socializing Opportunities: There will be plenty of time to socialize before and after the event.
Afterwards? We will begin and conclude the evening with the opportunity to socialize at the venue with free food and both cold & hot drinks.
When? Our Meetup takes place on 03.12.2025 from 18.00 to 22.00 o'clock CEST.
