About Crate-CTF:
Crate-CTF is an annual cybersecurity competition organized by the Swedish Defence Research Agency (FOI) in collaboration with the Swedish Armed Forces. This year’s event takes place Saturday, November 15, 2025, from 14:00 to 22:00, and offers 8 hours of hands-on hacking challenges in categories such as:
- Reversing – analyze binary code to extract secrets
- Exploitation – find and leverage vulnerabilities
- Web – attack and defend web applications
- Cryptography – break or understand ciphers
- OSINT – use open-source intelligence to find clues
The competition features dynamic scoring, meaning points depend on how many teams solve each challenge, the rarer the solve, the higher the score! All you need is a computer with a browser, and your favorite toolkit. After the CTF, we will have a sit down and go through all the challenges together.
About ChaGU:
ChaGU (Chalmers & Göteborg University CTF Team) is a student-led cybersecurity group focused on learning through hacking competitions. The team welcomes students from Chalmers, Göteborgs Universitet, and other universities with a passion for security and curiosity to learn.
ChaGU emphasizes:
- Learning first – competitions are an opportunity to explore, not just win.
- Fair play – respect the integrity and spirit of ethical hacking.
- Fun – because hacking should be challenging and enjoyable!
If you’re new to CTFs, ChaGU members will be there to guide you through the basics, help you set up your environment, and collaborate on solving real challenges from Crate-CTF!
