Ofir Blaicher - Threat Hunter @ Cato Networks

Threat hunting has become a critical component of modern cybersecurity, as adversaries can often go undetected for extended periods while inside a network. In this session, we will focus on the importance of proactive threat hunting to identify and eliminate potential or actual cybersecurity threats within an organization’s systems or networks. We will delve into the process of creating reliable and accurate security intelligence feeds using a combination of automated tools and manual analysis to identify indicators of compromise (IOCs). Additionally, we will explore the creation of industry-grade security intelligence feeds by leveraging multiple known and unknown sources tailored to an organization’s specific needs. Our discussion will also include how proactive threat hunting can reveal the tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) used by attackers, which can inform the development of robust security strategies.

➡️ 19:15 - Capture the Flag - Secure Coding

The CTF will take place as soon as the session is finished, make sure to register at the event entrance as participation spots are limited. Bring you own device and join the CTF locally with it. We will have sitting area ready for the competition.

This time the challenges will be solely around secure coding. You will accumulate points as you advance through challenges. The whole CTF will be around 1.5 hours, following with winners and prizes announcment.
