TOPIC: How to FIDO

ABSTRACT: Authentication remains one of the unsolved problems on the modern Internet. Partly because it sits at the intersection of a bunch of very challenging subjects: crypto(graphy), user experience, social understanding (needs to be robust against social engineering and other human-factor attacks). This talk starts where WebAuthn 101 left off - looking deeper into the various FIDO/WebAuthn use cases and how you can start your journey towards a world without passwords.

BIO: Christiaan Brand co-founded financial services security firm, Entersekt in 2009. He has since moved to Google where he's part of their Security and Identity teams. Christiaan is a frequent industry commentator on all areas involving cyber-crime and cyber security and co-chair of the FIDO2 technical working group inside the FIDO (Fast IDentity Online) alliance looking to standardize strong online security protocols.
