Credential Management API - Matt Cotterell (TC)

Hello again Wellington, it's been a while! We're bringing OWASP Wellington meetups back again, hopefully with a new speaker every two months.

We're hosting meetups at Bastion Security, located on 10 Brandon Street in the Wellington CBD. The talk kicks off at 6pm, but we'll have some snacks before-hand. Arrive any time from 5:30pm onwards!

Presentation Details
Our new organiser (Matt Cotterell) is going to kick things off as speaker for the first session, covering an upcoming new browser API called the "Credential Management API". This is a tentative first step towards an interesting future where the browser handles logging in to a web application instead of the web page itself! We'll go through the four key areas supported by the Credential Management API (Passwords, OTP, Federated Logins and Passkeys), as well as looking at some demos of the new functionality in action.

This talk is aimed at all web developers, and those with an interest in these areas. No prior security knowledge is required, although a rudimetary understanding of web development is ideal.
