We're having a meetup on March 14, 2013 at LivingSocial in Reston. As always, we'll have food and drinks.

This month, we have another native to the Northern Virginia area presenting. Rob Fuller (aka Mubix) will be giving a "Breakers" talk and showing off some of the darker side of penetration testing. Rob is also a co-founder of NoVa Hackers, another awesome local group that gathers monthly.

We will also present the results of our 2013 chapter board elections.

Fire talks are always welcome, as well. So far we have a few slated for Rails security and Android. If you have something you want to share with the group, bring it with you (and don't worry about slides).

The abstract for Rob's presentation is below:

Practical Exploitation is the art of applying operational targeting with real world tools. (Not spook or chest-bump figments of peoples imagination). Understanding and communicating risks in the computer security space requires understanding of factual “what could happen” answers. This presentation demonstrates 3 widely known remotely exploitable web vulnerabilities and the post exploitation implications of those exploits on the infrastructure behind it.
