OWASP Ottawa October 2019 Meetup - Our Annual Trivia Event

Hello Ottawa OWASPers!

Join us THURSDAY, October 17th FOR THE 3rd Annual OWASP OTTAWA HACKER (Beer) TRIVIA NIGHT!!!

5:00 PM - Meet, mingle, socialize, pizza
6:00 PM - Trivia!

This will be a social + learning event filled with fun, prizes, and hacker-related facts,, pizza and beers (sponsored by Secure That Cert!)! !

As usual, the evening will start at 5:00 for social time and networking, with the actual trivia competition starting at 6:00 pm. We will help put you on a team if you don’t have one.

How does it work?

People will form teams of 1-5 people; you will sit at tables together and use your mobile devices to answer. No need to install an app. All you need is a browser.

There will be three “periods" of questions, with social time and networking in-between. Questions will be trivia, technical or just plain amusing. Anything related to hacking or security is fair game.

We are hoping that you all take this chance to meet new people and mingle with other AppSec/OWASP enthusiasts.

This event has quite a few prizes from our fantastic sponsors! Thank you to our sponsors!!!!

We are looking forward to meeting you all there!

Fine Print: this event is 19+, and we will be asking for ID if your age is even remotely in question. Please don’t be offended if you are asked, think of it as a compliment about how youthful you look. :)
