Join us for a competitive experience for learners, where they will use the security journey platform to complete hands-on lessons to find and fix vulnerabilities in exchange for tournament points. This tournament welcomes developers and non-developers alike. Prizes will be awarded by security journey for those with the most points at the end of the event. PNC will provide Pizza.
Requirements:
- The platform is web based so bring a laptop to compete.
- Please register ahead of time and provide us with your first and last name.
- Also please bring an Picture ID to the security desk upon arrival to complete guest registration
- If you will need access to the guest wifi, please ensure you are able to access your email at the event to retrieve your guest wifi credentials

This event will take place at 1 PNC Plaza on the 15th floor 249 Fifth Avenue, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
Presenters include:
Corey Laboon
- Corey is an Enterprise Account Executive at Security Journey & has been with the organization for over 3 years where he helps organizations integrate secure coding practices into their development processes in order to build safer, more resilient software.
- Outside of his professional career, Corey is a new father, stained glass hobbyist, and hockey coach.
Mike Burch
- Michael is the Director of Application Security at Security Journey, where he leads the content creation strategy; developing security training content and leading the creation of secure coding best practices for their Role Based Secure Code Training platform.
- Mike is also the host of the Security Champions podcast where he meets with industry leaders to dive into a wide range of Application Security Related topics.
- Before joining Security Journey, Mike worked as a Senior Cyber Security Specialist for the North Carolina National Guard. In this role, he led the Cyber Network Defender program and mentored a team of soldiers in communication engineering and security. Michael also served as a Cyber Security Specialist, responding to incidents, conducting network assessments, and maintaining security systems.
