Isabella Södergren - Learning from Hack The Box – Practical Cybersecurity Through CTF Exercises
Summary: How do you actually learn to think like an attacker – in a legal and structured way? Hack The Box (HTB) has become one of the most popular platforms for hands-on security training, but for many, taking the first step feels overwhelming. In this presentation, Isabella Södergren, HTB Ambassador and SSCP-certified security professional, shares her experiences and demonstrates how the platform can be used to build real-world offensive security skills.

About the speakers
Robin Raczkiewicz
Robin is a cybersecurity educator and founder of Patchpoint, a startup focused on improving cybersecurity awareness by measuring and strengthening security culture through practical learning tools. He is also a speaker and instructor at Cybersecurity Academy, a non-profit initiative by Unga Forskare, MCF, and IBM, where he teaches cybersecurity to students across Sweden.
He has delivered nearly 100 cybersecurity talks and workshops across the country, focusing on practical cybersecurity and ethical hacking while helping students and organizations understand common cyber attacks, online fraud, encryption, and how to build safer digital habits.
Alongside this work, he serves as an Incident Manager and developer at Monitum, where he works with cybersecurity operations and secure software development.

Isabella Södergren
Isabella Södergren is a cybersecurity professional, researcher, and community advocate with a strong focus on the intersection of AI and security. Her work spans cybersecurity, natural language processing, speech technologies, and OT security, with a particular interest in how emerging technologies can be used both securely and responsibly. She is a founding member of the Swedish Women4Cyber chapter and is actively engaged in creating pathways into cybersecurity for more diverse groups.

Alongside her technical work, Isabella is passionate about outreach, education, and inspiring the next generation. She regularly works to make cybersecurity more accessible to children and young people, helping them understand both the opportunities and responsibilities that come with technology. Her perspective combines technical depth with a strong commitment to inclusion, awareness, and long-term community building.
