Andrew has spent the last 12 years working as a solutions engineer at successful cybersecurity startups. He currently lives in Northern Virginia, close to Washington, D.C., but originally hails from Texas. After graduating with a EE degree from UT Austin, he moved to the East Coast to work as a network engineer for a large defense contractor, but quickly fell into a security operations role, cutting his teeth building Snort IDS sensors. Since then, he's touched a wide range of security specialties in his career, including network and host-based forensics, vulnerability scanning and pentesting, malware analysis, incident response, and bot defense.
