Panel Discussion: Getting AppSec Right, from the Beginning

Details
It's time for another fun OWASP Wellington meetup. This month we're lucky to have a few application security folks joining us in a panel discussion to share their experiences:
Getting AppSec Right, from the Beginning
When you start your company - or even your first "greenfield" project - you want to bake application security in from the beginning. But what's the right amount of security, and which things will give you the best bang for your buck? What are the things you just can't afford NOT to do from the beginning?
In this panel discussion, our panelists will share their experiences creating startups, advising businesses and building security practices in small and large organisations, to help you sort through all the things you could do and take away some concrete advice.
Our Panel Members:
- Kate Pearce, Trade Me
- Erica Anderson, SafeStack
- Nick Malcolm, Aura Information Security
- John-Paul (JP) Sikking, Datacom
We will kick off with snacks and mingle time from 5:30pm, with the panel starting at 6pm.
Due to the acoustics, we won't be having a livestream for this event..
Our Sponsors:
Secure Code Warrior (SCW, www.securecodewarrior.com) has kindly agreed to sponsor our session, providing our food and drinks. Members of the SCW team are visiting Auckland and Wellington to meet with customers, and will be on hand during our session.
