We'll aim to meet at 7pm at the theatre, and will likely visit a nearby pub to discuss the play after the performance.

Description:

You’re not supposed to be here…
Jay Conway, Oscar-winner, in the cosy London flat of Leigh Carver, acclaimed director. Two of the arts’ most powerful men.
They are waiting for Ruth Davenport, the “Irish writer” whose play they begin rehearsals for the next morning.
Would you mind if I asked you a troubling question
Jay and Leigh are aware they are unobserved - their conversation spans racism, rape, Alcoholics Anonymous…
Then Ruth enters. She is not what the men had expected. Secrets come out. True colours begin to show. There will be blood.
Ulster American is a play that has run successfully at Fringe, West End and Broadway - not without dividing audiences to the point of walk-outs. David Ireland’s black satire will make you laugh, gasp, question why you’re laughing, and laugh some more.
This is a conversation you were never supposed to hear. This is a conversation you don’t want to miss.
