## Details
Klub Kakofanney - a not for profit enterprise - has been bringing eclectic original live music to Oxford for the past 33 years. It's latest monthly event features the wonderfully quirky Moogieman, supported by The Borough - The Hormones - The Symbal Shards -
MOOGIEMAN: Psychedelic geek new wave on portable synthesisers, melding the influence of miserable 80s post-punk, vibrant 60s psychedelia and late 80s dance music.
THE BOROUGH: An experimental punk band from Reading with a raw and theatrical take on surf rock riffs and Arabic funk rhythms, who recently released their first record, Thursday in Baghdad.
THE HORMONES: (My particular favourite). An over 50's women's feminist punk band playing a mix of punky covers from the likes of The Clash, Bikini Kill, and The Cramps, as well as some of their own original material.
THE SYMBAL SHARDS: A (VERY) young and evolving band from Oxford, armed with guitar, bass, and drums, = playing all-original songs.
4 bands for £8. (Cash or card on the door.) All money goes to pay the musicians and sound engineer.
If travelling by car from the centre via Iffley Road, DON'T turn left onto Cornwallis Road as there's a bus gate (with cameras). Instead, drive down Florence Park Road, and turn left onto Cornwallis Road at the end. Florence Park Community Centre is on the left just before the bus gate. There's parking on Cornwallis Road or the adjacent streets (Campbell Road is nearest).
Meet inside the main hall. I'll post a description of our whereabouts on the night.
