What we’re about
Oxford Humanists brings non-religious people together to be happier and more fulfilled and to be a force for good in our local community.
We hold regular socials and speaker events in Oxford to stimulate debate, build connections between like-minded people, and amplify Humanists UK activities and priorities. Everyone is welcome.

See all- Oxford Pride: LGBT & Oxford Humanists March & StallMalmaison Courtyard, Oxford
Join LGBT and Oxford Humanists to celebrate Oxford Pride! Pride parades are one of the most important events in the annual calendar. They give us a unique opportunity to promote humanism to thousands of people who are themselves LGBT or their Allies. They allow us to network and develop relationships with organisations that share similar goals, and they allow us to celebrate the contribution that humanists have made throughout history to LGBT rights, freedom of expression, and towards building a fairer, more rational society.
The Oxford Pride theme for 2025 is 'The Greatest Show', so let’s get out our banners and raise them high, wear and carry our flags, and show Oxford what our community is about. Let’s make this year’s parade the most colourful yet.
We will meet from 9.30am in the courtyard outside the Malmaison Hotel, Oxford Castle, 3 New Rd, Oxford OX1 1AY. Our coordinators will be wearing the LGBT Humanists purple tee shirts so look out for them. We have Placards, Tee Shirts, Rainbow flags and face paints for everyone, so just bring yourselves! We will then join the parade in Paradise Square, OX1 1TW, by 10.00am for a prompt departure at 10.30am for an hour's parade through the city to Radcliffe Square.
After the march, the action transfers to South Park where there is entertainment through to 10:00pm. New for this year, we have a LGBT & Oxford Humanists stall (No 21) in the Pride marketplace near the Morrell Avenue entrance to South Park, so if you can't make the march or the walk from the city centre is too long, we look forward to seeing you there! Any help manning the stall, even for a short while is greatly appreciated to give our main volunteers a break.
